Haven’t updated for a while as I went back to HK for a short break. Did not bring the camera this time, just a small sketchbook and a pen. It was great to see family and friends again, but the trip was too short.
We took an early flight to HK.

The first thing we did after settling down is to go for a haircut. I had a very bad haircut a few months ago in SG and I need a fix so badly… felt much happier after the haircut. Then we went back to the hotel and take a short break before going to family dinner.

The next morning, we had dim sum brunch with a friend.

We went to Sha Tin to see the Picasso Exhibition in the afternoon, and had dinner at New Town Plaza with a friend.

The next day, we went to Sai Kung. We even took a small boat to one of the off islands. The boat ride was really fun. We had desserts at the famous HoneyMoon dessert place before going home for dinner.

Japanese sushi, Chinese noodles, French crepe, Mexico taco, USA hotdog, Indian curry, Swedish meatball, English fish and chips… which one is your favorite?

Food around the world
I’ve been very busy with all the visitors in town since Xmas, and haven’t got much time to update this blog. Can’t believe it’s Feb already! Now it’s time to clear all the mushrooms that have been growing here :)

I had the unagi don set and it was very delicious! The unagi tasted as good, if not better, as the real thing! The environment is nice too – spacious and comfy. Staffs are very friendly too. We shall visit again.

Updated: Finally sketched the Goodwood Park Hotel
We were back at the GoodWood Park! Still loved the food – you can tell from how much I ate. But we really should not go back there again so soon, all the good foods made me feel guilty!

Starting from 3pm, there is a pianist playing piano in the lobby.

Nando is famous for its peri-peri chicken. We were at their Bugis store a few times and quite like their food. This time, we tried the one at PlazaSingapura. For some reasons, the foods don’t seem to be as good. I also ordered a ‘refreshing mint’ drink, and it was SO sour – I can hardly taste the mint but lime juice. I guess we should just go back to Bugis next time.

We then headed to VivoCity after lunch. Was supposed to walk along the Sentosa boardwalk, but couldn’t stand the heat and just decided to relax in a cafe. The mall was packed with people on this Saturday afternoon. Although there were many cafe and restaurants there, it is not easy to find a place to set. We ended up at Haagen-Dazs, and I had a yummy scope of chocolate truffle icecream.

Did another sketch while chilling in the cafe.
